The dark green leaves of this annual herb have a heavy, spicy taste and aroma. This is the perfect basil for Italian cuisine. Grows well in containers indoors and outdoors, and is slow to bolt in summer heat.

Growing Instructions:
Plant in a warm, sunny location with rich, moist soil. Basil loves heat and does not begin vigorous growth until both night and daytime temperatures have warmed in late spring. Start indoors and transplant after the danger of frost has passed, or direct outdoors in late Spring. Sow seed 6mm (1/4in) deep and 30cm (12in) apart in rows spaced 60cm (24in) apart.
