Tropaeolum majus
Great for walls and fences or as a ground cover in sunny areas. Strong vines reach 2m (6′) tall but need some help attaching themselves to supports. Flowers occur in the same colour range as Dwarf Jewel Mixed.
Annual
Approx. 25 Seeds/pkt
How to Grow
As nasturtiums resent transplanting, directly sow seed into well drained soil in late May 2.5cm (1″) deep and 5cm (2″) apart, thinning seedlings to 20cm (8″) apart. Seed generally germinates within 12 days. Full sun is preferred. Partial shade is recommended in hot summer areas. Blooms have a peppery taste and are quite popular as a salad garnish. We recommend removing spent flowers to help lengthen the blooming period.
