Gardener’s Notes: A cool-season crop. Plant seed in early spring in light, fertile, well-drained soil as soon as it can be worked. Sow seeds 1 inch apart and 1/2 inch deep. After germination, thin seedlings to 2 inches apart. Radishes grow quickly and need even moisture. Sow every 7-10 days until early summer for continuous supply. Harvest when rounded tops appear. For late crop, sow again in late summer or early fall.
