Gardener’s Notes: In early spring, as soon as soil can be worked, sow seeds in fertile, well-drained soil. Plant 1 see every inch and thin as seedlings grow to recommended spacing. Begin to harvest when plants are 6 inches tall. Pick outer leaves and allow regrowth, or cut entire plant at soil line. Sow again in late summer for a fall crop.
