Zinnia elegans ‘Sprite Mix’
Description
Zinnia elegans ‘Sprite Mix’ is delicate and small-flowered yet it’s a robust, floriferous hybrid zinnia, which is the easiest to grow in our climate. A bunch of these look brilliant in one of our red jugs.
There is hardly a vegetable garden in France, where you will not see these grown for cutting. They thrive in hot, dry, Mediterranean summers and need good drainage and sunny open positions, but survive our colder, wetter summers fine. Grow as many as you have room for!
Care Tips
Water once a week and stake plants individually . Ensure good air circulation around plants and tidy up any dead or dying leaves to avoid botrytis. Picking or deadheading is necessary to prolong blooming and encourage branching.
